The Opta Comms+ data management and software package allows users of TorqueStar Opta and DTT Opta torque instruments to communicate with a PC to upload and download data and settings.

New from Crane Electronics is the Opta Comms+ data management and software package.

It is designed for use in conjunction with the popular Crane TorqueStar Opta and DTT Opta torque instruments and allows them to communicate with a PC in order to upload and download data and settings.

Opta Comms+ is the subject of a special price launch deal by Crane Electronics.

Until 31st October 2004 TorqueStar Opta packages come with free copies of Opta Comms software.

Opta Comms enables an Opta unit for two-way communication with a PC, allowing the set up of users, transducers, jobs and rounds on the PC remote from the Opta unit.

This setup information can be uploaded or downloaded between the PC and Opta, and uploaded measurement data can be archived within Opta Comms enabling changes to upper and lower specification limits (USL/LSL).

The software is also customisable for different languages.

Additional features offered by Opta Comms+ compared with standard Opta Comms include a calendar function to manage and schedule tool calibrations; statistical calculations; rundown graph upload from the Opta and export to Excel spreadsheet, and the export of raw data to Excel enabling an x-bar and R chart to be created.
