Crane Electronics reckons its rugged shopfloor torque indicator and data collector, TorqueStar Opta, offers more flexibility than any other similar product on the market.

Crane Electronics reckons its rugged shopfloor torque indicator and data collector, TorqueStar Opta, offers more flexibility than any other similar product on the market.

This is achieved with a modular software construction enabling customers to configure the TorqueStar Opta to their individual requirements.

The customer can therefore specify exactly the product needed and does not have to pay for unnecessary functionality.

If the requirements should change at a later date, additional software modules can be added.

Full details are available in the new technical datasheets from the company.

The eight page publication provides a concise overview and detailed specifications of the product.

Details are also provided on the different software modules ranging from basic storage to statistical process control (SPC).

There are examples of TorqueStar Opta's intuitive icon driven menu including how to perform a quick measurement with just two key presses, the ability to change language, date and time and power management.

TorqueStar Opta has a compact design and is lightweight.

For portability it is supplied complete with a neck strap and an RS232 output is standard.

A barcode reader can also be used, offering further possibilities to store readings against specific tools and torque stations.
