Portable digital torque tester for accurate, digital measurement of bottle top torque has a 200 date and time stamped reading memory and can download data to a PC or printer.

Crane Electronics' Capstar II is the latest version of its digital torque tester for accurate, digital measurement of bottle top torque.

This portable tool has a 200 date and time stamped reading memory and can download data to a PC or printer.

It also incorporates a programmable torque threshold for fast and easy testing.

Capstar II has been designed for use in the food, beverage, cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries and can measure tightening and releasing torque.

Containers and bottles to be tested are placed in an adjustable fixture which can damp circular or unusual shapes from 10 to 130mm diameter.

Optional long pegs are available for taller bottles while child resistant closures, commonly used in the pharmaceutical industry, can also be tested.

It has a durable drip-proof ABS housing and wipe clean surface.

It has touch sensitive controls and for portability is battery powered with an optional mains charger.

An LCD digital readout shows the peak torque value of each test.

Statistical analysis of sigma, mean and range is also available when data is printed or downloaded to a PC.
