Gas monitor checks four hazards at once
A new multichannel personal gas monitor from Crowcon combines sophisticated data management features with the simplicity of operation normally found in basic one-gas instruments.
All versions share the same proven internal components to provide up to 12 gas detection channels, including up to three for fire, as well as 24 user-configurable relay outputs to drive external alarms and safety equipment.
The simplest configuration, which is suitable for use where a display panel is not required, comprises just the essential input, output and controller modules mounted on a Modbus data transfer rail.
An additional rail can be supplied to increase the number of outputs to 32.
This configuration is ideal for confined spaces and can be installed in specialist enclosures such as flameproof housings or those with high ingress protection.
Vortex Rack combines the essential modules with a 19" Euro rack fascia featuring simple button controls and visual status indicators.
Designed for integration into existing Euro rack enclosures, this configuration can be used to replace obsolete gas monitoring systems or to introduce gas detection to other types of rack-mounted equipment.
The third configuration is designed for flush mounting in a door or panel in non-Euro enclosures.
Called Vortex Panel, it allows gas detection to be added to almost any OEM monitoring system.
Crowcon's engineers can advise on the Vortex configuration most suited to a particular application.
The Project Engineering team can also supply custom-built systems to match individual requirements. Request a free brochure from Crowcon Detection Instruments ...
