Wide-area protection against gas and fire hazards is provided by Gasmonitor Plus, Crowcon's modular control system for remote detectors.

Detector signals are monitored by individual, removable control cards, each having a unique LED bargraph to show at a glance the gas level or fire status of every device in the network.

Multiple Gasmonitor Plus units can be stacked to provide as many detection channels, relays and data outputs as the user requires.

Systems are housed in standard 19in Eurorack enclosures, which are easily stacked and integrated with other rack-mounted equipment already on site.

A single rack holds up to 16 cards plus a large display module, which scrolls through the numerical readings from each channel.

This module also shows common fault and alarm conditions, and allows on site calibration and configuration by a single operator using its convenient, front-facing RS232 port.

If a hazardous condition is detected, Gasmonitor Plus offers three alarm levels per channel.

To trigger external devices such as fans, valves and doors, up to 84 output relays are provided by each rack, including 16 voted relays which are user-configurable via the PC interface.

Dedicated alarm drives are provided for audiovisual warning signals.

For communication with external data systems, cards have individual 4-20mA analogue outputs.

A discrete alarm inhibitor on each card allows uninterrupted operation of remaining channels during maintenance checks on parts of the system.

Cards also have individual fault warning signals for rapid troubleshooting.

Rack enclosures are made of aluminium alloy for optimum protection against RF interference and emissions.

Gasmonitor Plus can be powered by AC or DC supplies.
