Safer anti-static gasket launched
CRS has developed a safer anti-static gasket, the StatSeal 2000, which offers full TFM protection for a high integrity gasket and is ideal for use on glass-lined and fluoropolymer-lined pipework
From explosions to electric shocks, static discharge has always represented a problem to plant, personnel and production in the process industries Now, after a series of innovations based on practical experience and technical know-how, CRS have developed a safer anti-static gasket

CRS now offer the answer to the question of dangerous static build up.
The StatSeal 2000 anti-static gasket offers full TFM protection for a high integrity gasket.
Static build up travels to the furthest edge of the outer PTFE envelope and is conducted into the corrugated steel ring core sandwiched between high quality reinforced graphite inside.
The flange bolt is located through the earthing tab that is then bent back over the outside of the flange and finally secured under the bolt head to form an earth loop.
As the patented StatSeal 2000 is electrically conductive throughout, this removes the need for an earthing wire attached to the bolt and then to a convenient earthing point.
StatSeal's outer envelope is made from PTFE with a conductive filler.
An alternative outer envelope of modified virgin PTFE is available for applications where a white, non-contaminating gasket is preferred, making this the ideal gasket for critical applications in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, and the food and dairy sector.
The revolutionary StatSeal 2000 has an additional safety element in its unique universal tabbing system; gaskets can therefore be supplied with any dimensions to provide a tight fit and to safely disperse static around any bolt configuration on your pipework.
Flange sizes may alter across a site depending on pressure ratings, metrication and pipe material, but a central StatSeal stock can be held.
CRS' StatSeal 2000 is ideal for use on glass-lined and fluoropolymer-lined pipework, ideal for industries in which gasket leaching is a problem, and ideal for applications where static is a known or potential hazard.
