Highly dependable solid state relay for healthcare
Sealed construction with N/O Thyristor output circuits and no moving parts make Crouzet's 2nd Generation GN relay series vibration-free and particularly effective for medical applications
With its new generation of solid state relays capable of vastly superior heat transfer, Crouzet, has developed a large selection of Electro-Magnetic Compatibility compliant components that boast a virtually unlimited life span.
Their sealed construction with N/O Thyristor output circuits and no moving parts make this 2nd Generation GN relay series vibration-free and particularly effective for medical applications, where silence and reliability are all-important.
Copper inserts bonded in the thinner ceramic base plates of the 2nd Generation GN series create much more efficient heat conduction than other SSRs on the market, require smaller heat-sinks, and dramatically reduce the possibility of heat-caused relay failure.
Crouzet offers a range of current ratings from 10 to 125 A, available in 280V DC or 660V AC versions, complies with European (CE label) EMC for general electrical use, and versions up to 250V AC have been certified compliant (EC 601) for medical use.
Crouzet offers the option of IP20-rated safety cover with a LED in-operation indicator.
Combining its stand-alone compliance advantage with ease of installation, the new GN series can reduce new machine conception and manufacturing costs by eliminating additional EMI-impeding components often necessary with other SSRs.
The "hockey puck" industry standard housing (60 by 45mm) for the series, plus its self lifting connection terminals, ensure easy and rapid maintenance or conversion in laboratory and clinical situations.
