The Millenium II plus is an enhanced version of the powerful and flexible Crouzet Millenium II logic controller.
It features the power and ease of use of the original but with significant upgrades in both functionality and the range of available hardware.
Designed to automate any small- to medium-sized control system, Millenium II plus is a timer, counter, controller and sequencer that can handle up to 52 points of I/O.
New features include advanced temperature controls, DC power supplies, diagnostic tools and protection from power failure.
Coupled with the expanded hardware options, it is ideal for OEMs and machine builders, as well as building services applications such as heating and ventilating control.
Crouzet has included high-speed counter inputs on all DC versions to provide quicker response times and more accurate speed control when used with DC motors with encoders.
It also features a PID function block for accurate temperature control and there is now a full range of temperature sensors available from -40 to +150C.
A special version of the controller (24V DC 12 I/O) is suitable for liquid control and, to simplify ordering, level control and HVAC starter kits include either level probes or temperature sensors.
A new eight-way analogue value data storage block with shift function provides accurate control and smoothes out peaks and troughs over a programmable storage period.
Enhanced cam timer and archive function blocks allow the unit to revert to a particular point in the program after a power failure.
The software can also simulate power failure to see how the system reacts.
Millenium II plus can be supplied with a choice of covers rated to IP65 for applications in wet or dusty environments, and there is a 12V DC version for automotive use.
For remote operation, a GSM modem can send messages to mobile phones, allowing the controller to be interrogated.
Also new are matching 12 and 24V DC power supplies to meet the demand for safe, low-voltage control systems.
Installing and programming Millenium II plus is simple.
The latest software is fully compatible with Windows 98, NT, XP and 2000 and all the enhancements are backward compatible with existing Millenium II controllers.
The range comprises 12 or 20 input/outputs with a choice of 12V DC, 24V DC, 24V AC and 100 to 240V AC operation.
There are standard, blind and expandable versions that also allow two units to be linked together for larger systems.
A new blind version of the expandable unit is also available without the display and front buttons.
