Semisynthetic fluid promises longer sump
life

Hysol XF was originally formulated for Castrol's global aerospace manufacturing customers, and in competitive trials at Stork Fokker solved serious fungus and bacteria problems and was the only fluid that didn't foam.
With the fungus, bacteria and foaming problems eliminated, consumption has reduced dramatically.
Also, where previously Stork Fokker had employed up to five people just to change the cutting fluid and clean and empty machine sumps (some daily).
Hysol XF only needs changing every two to three years or longer and only two people are needed for the job.
Machine maintenance and downtime has also been reduced and it is estimated that Hysol XF is achieving overall savings of between 40 and 50%.
Other industries have now adopted this versatile, semisynthetic metalworking fluid, which is proving ideal for use in heavy duty machining applications such as reaming, drilling, turning and grinding, with materials such as ferrous metals, aluminium, copper and titanium.
