Teflon tape sticks both sides

A CS Hyde product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jul 21, 2008

Double-sided Teflon tape allows users to fasten two substrates together easily and cost-effectively, with no need for rivets, bolts or screws.

CS Hyde Company has introduced a Teflon (PTFE) tape with adhesive on both sides (thin to thick gauge).

Traditional Teflon tape is only available with adhesive on one side.

The company has developed a new technology allowing it to produce Teflon tape with pressure sensitive adhesive on both sides and up to 1.5mm thick.

Double-sided Teflon (PTFE) tape allows users to fasten two substrates together easily and cost-effectively.

Rivets, bolts or screws are not necessary.

The PTFE substrate has all the characteristics associated with Teflon, including: chemical resistance; the ability to form a nonporous barrier; extreme temperature resistance; and high dielectric strength.

3M acrylic adhesive is used on both sides, enabling attachment to other substrates.

The adhesives are resistant to extreme temperatures and chemicals, and a high bond adhesive is also available.

Samples are available now, and the product is sold in rolls, sheets or custom die-cut shapes.
