CTL Components has a universal cable joint that can be used in street lighting applications for straight, branch or multiple-branch joints, thereby reducing the number of different parts that contractors need to stock.

Also, because of its multiple-branch capability, the new CU series joint enables the contractor to terminate two neighbouring street lights using a single joint, which means that less time is spent on excavation and reinstatement work.

As well as being tested and certified to the European Cenelec HD 623 S1 harmonised standard, the CU joint exceeds the latest Highways Agency specifications and satisfies even the most demanding local authority requirements.

Available in six different models covering two-, three- and four-core cable sizes ranging from 1.5 to 150mm2, the CU cable joint is supplied in a kit comprising an injection-moulded shell, two-part resin, earth braid, core separators, constant-force springs and four appropriately sized mechanical connectors.
