Lightweight pressure sensors handle varied media

A Custom Sensors and Technologies (CST) product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jul 25, 2008

The temperature-compensated P4055 and P4056 pressure sensors exhibit exception EMI/RFI performance and can tolerate high-vibration environments.

Kavlico, a global business unit of Custom Sensors and Technologies (CST), has released P4055 and P4056 OEM pressure sensors.

These devices have a piezo-resistive sense element and the P4050 is available in pressure ranges of 0-3 through 021bar, sealed while the P4056 is available in measurement ranges of 0 - 200mbar to 20bar.

The rugged, brass sensors are compatible with many types of liquid and gaseous media.

The 40g P4055 and P4056 have a built-in Metri-Pack 150 electrical connector.

Operating at 5V DC, the sensors provide a 0.5 to 4.5V DC output proportional to pressure.

Pressure port options include NPT, G 1/4, M10 and M12.

The temperature-compensated sensors exhibit exception EMI/RFI performance and can tolerate high-vibration environments.

Typical applications include pumps and compressors, process controls, filter restriction pressure, oil and fuel pressure, water management, level measurement and test and monitoring equipment.

The P4055 and P4056 are RoHS-compliant and carry CE certification.

Customised pressure ranges are available for high-volume applications.
