CAD Schroer Group has announced the release of version 2.2 of Stheno/Pro, the powerful drafting plug-in for Pro/Engineer.

CAD Schroer Group (CSG), the global Engineering solutions provider and PTC gold tier software partner, has announced the release of version 2.2 of Stheno/Pro, the powerful drafting plug-in for Pro/Engineer.

The software supports the latest version of Pro/Engineer (Wildfire 3.0) and offers full support for the DWG format up to AutoCAD 2007.

"The key words to describe the latest release include integration, flexibility and usability", explains Stheno/Pro Product Manager Mark Simpson.

"In addition to some great extensions to our ground-breaking Smart Edit tool, our customers will be especially pleased to see that we now offer a raster Product with full colour support - an even better way to integrate legacy drawings and other images into their Pro/Engineer world with the help of Stheno/Pro".

Stheno/Pro is the only legacy data management and drafting package fully integrated with Pro/Engineer, Pro/Intralink and Windchill PDMLink.

Stheno/Pro replaces the need for a three-tier (Pro/E-2D-paper) approach, working hand-in-glove with Pro/Detail, offering seamless, bidirectional data exchange, and the incorporation, editing and maintenance of raster data.

It allows for the quick and easy creation of things like 2D concepts, layouts and tender designs, as well as 2D adaptations of Pro/Detail sheets for product designs, technical manuals and installation designs.

"Customer loyalty is one of our hallmarks", explains Michael Schroer, the company's Founding Director.

"We work hard to retain that loyalty by offering customers a sound partnership based on engineering knowhow, and constant proof - by way of regular software updates and releases with innovative cost-saving productivity tools - that their maintenance money is well-spent".
