The CR:822B is the first in a new range of high-performance sound level meters.
The new CR:822B is the ideal instrument for anyone involved in or responsible for compliance with the noise at work regulations as well as environmental noise limits.
It can provide the parameters required for both of these applications, including the overall Leq, LEP, d and peak (C) measurements for noise at work, as well as an octave band measurement of the noise to assist in the selection of hearing protection.
The sound level meter is supplied with the new Deaf Defier 3 software, which includes preconfigured reports which can help the user in creating a noise risk assessment.
The software also contains a database of hearing defenders which can be used to assist in selecting appropriate protective equipment for a particular noise source.

The CR:800B product range meets all of the current regulations and standards, including the new IEC61672 standard for sound level meters which is much more stringent than the previous standards.
The CR:822B can be supplied as a complete measurement kit, which includes all the accessories, including the software, needed to make a noise measurement and to carry out an assessment.
