Calibrator measures and controls pressure

A Calibration Dynamics product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 20, 2006

Calibration Dynamics has available a fully automated, high accuracy precision pressure calibrator.

The Mensor APC600 is designed to measure, control and calibrate across a wide range of pressures.

Users can specify pressure ranges from as low as 0 to 25mbar through to 0 to 100bar, and pressure can be displayed in any engineering unit including user-definable quantities.

Low pressure controllers can incorporate onboard pressure generation.

Single- and dual-channel models are available, each channel having up to two transducers, which in turn can have two calibrated pressure ranges, giving a maximum capacity of eight pressure ranges in a single APC 600.

Accuracy is 0.01% of each pressure range and the controller is fully auto-ranging, while pressure stability is as good as 0.001%.

The APC600 is dynamically temperature compensated from 15 to 45C.

This intuitive instrument incorporates programmable sequences, where users can program and store many calibration profiles on board for simple recall and execution while user configurable pressure "ceilings" protect instruments under test from over-pressurisation.

The display, unique to Mensor, is a full colour touch screen control panel and allows the user to navigate easily around the PC based controller.

The innovative user-removable reference transducer modules can be extracted easily for calibration or service, and harness the capability of interchanging with the same or different ranges.

The APC600 controller can communicate via RS232 and Ethernet protocols as standard making it simple to embed into ATE systems.

Optional extras include rack mounting kit, GPIB/IEEE488 interface, external calibration kits for transducer modules and barometric reference for absolute mode operation.

With compact dimensions and weighing less than 12kg, the APC600 is billed as the most feature-packed, transportable instrument of its type commercially available.

This cost effective product has applications in the process, laboratory, engineering and manufacturing industries and can be used for the testing of transmitters, transducers, pressure relief valves, gauges and switches.
