Portable calibrator is robust and versatile

A Calibration Dynamics product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 9, 2007

The ability to calibrate many pressure devices teamed with its microprocessor base means that the MEP-DC is multifunctional and highly adaptable.

Just three of the words to describe the latest portable calibrator set to be released onto the market by Calibration Dynamics at MTEC 2007.

Combining intelligent engineering with ergonomic design the MEP-DC sells itself as one of the most competitive, robust and versatile instruments in its field.

The ability to calibrate many pressure devices teamed with its microprocessor base means that this instrument is multifunctional and highly adaptable.

The MEP-DC has a high accuracy reference pressure sensor with the capacity to handle a wide pressure range of -1 to +700bar in a variety of units enabling it to adapt to the needs of many of today's exacting markets.

The innovative design and placement of the pump and regulator offer rapid pressure generation and control whilst giving the operator maximum convenience as they do not have to expend additional effort in restraining the instrument's position whilst in use.

And as the device comes housed in a robust, impact resistant case rated at IP68, with the added benefit of storage capacity for all calibration auxiliaries, you see that it is not only extremely durable but practical and safe as well.

Simple functionality ensures a rapid start to calibration and an easy to read alpha numeric display enhances usability.

The MEP-DC also incorporates a 24V power supply enabling the user to power transmitters directly and features in built circuitry for switch testing.

RS232 communications are provided to enable direct communication with a computer or linking to a PDA for local data logging.

The MEP-DC further complements the already extensive range of portable test and calibration instruments available from Calibration Dynamics; most of which will be available for demonstration at MTEC 2007, and no-obligation site demonstrations can also be organised.
