An engineering and electrical plan printing service, is one of the first companies in the UK to introduce black and red plan printing - and it's available via the web

Blueprint, the engineering and electrical plan printing service, is seeing red.

It is one of the first companies in the country to introduce black and red plan printing.

The company provides this service to electrical and mechanical engineers and construction services companies.

The new service, via the web, will enable selective areas of any drawing to be highlighted in red.

"Plan printing will never be the same again," enthused reprographics director Jason Richards.

"Clients can highlight in red the sections of the drawing that are most relevant.

A particular subsystem within a plant or machine could be highlighted or critical electrical components within a wiring scheme.

Clients can also use red for revisions." Customers access the service via a high speed web link.

Requiring only a standard internet browser, drawings and images can be sent direct.

Blueprint's digital printer then outputs black and red A0 size drawings at a rate of up to ten per minute, including automatic folding.

In addition, Blueprint are able to store drawings digitally on their secure servers.

This enables their clients with authorised web access to manage, query, view, and print project drawings remotely at any hour of the day.

"Many of our national clients are enthusiastic because drawings are a communication tool.

With red highlights they give clearer information and make work in the engineering team more productive," explained Jason..
