ServoSoft v2.2 features a winder and unwinder centre and surface driven mechanisms with spooler option.

ControlEng Corporation announces the release of ServoSoft v2.2 with winder and unwinder centre and surface driven mechanisms with spooler option.

With the newly added winder mechanisms, users can accurately model the dynamic load throughout the entire motion profile.

There is no need to assume the roll is "full" like other sizing tools.

Now users can accurately determine the technical requirements at any point in the motion profile.

ServoSoft removes the guesswork so applications engineers can make intelligent design decisions.

ControlEng is continuing its development of ServoSoft to be the most complete servo system sizing tool for rotary and linear motors, gearboxes, drives, bleeders and capacitors.

ServoSoft is a generic model not limited to a specific vendor's product.

With projects up to 20 axes in a bused or stand-alone configuration, ServoSoft models the simplest and most complex servo system designs, from motion profile and mechanical performance to power flow throughout the entire electrical and mechanical system.

ServoSoft reduces the design time cycle, all the while making better cost and energy efficient designs.

ServoSoft is available in English and German.

A free demo version is available for download from the ControlEng website.

A new automatic database updates feature ensures that users' databases are up to date without copying database files or re-entering data.

Ideally suited for the design of electric machines, robots, machine centres, product handling and automation applications, and any application involving servo systems, ServoSoft is perfect for scenario analysis including energy efficiency analysis, design optimisation and the benchmarking of vendors' products.
