Small and reliable temperature controllers
Datasensor announces the launch of its new THR range of temperature controllers.
The clear technical advantage of the laser emission is the generation of a concentrated thin light beam allowing for the detection of very small objects or very long operating distances.
The SL5 series comprises proximity, polarised retro reflex and emitter receiver models thus covering all the normal requirements for a family of sensors.
The lasers are housed in a rugged ABS tubular 18mm housing with IP 67 protection.
The light source is visible red at 650 nm and the emission is class 1 according to the EN 60825-1.
This guarantees maximum safety in all applications with no requirements for special precautions.
The proximity version works in the 0 - 35mm range with a resolution of just 0.2mm at 5cm.
This sensor is therefore ideal for the precise detection of extremely small targets.
Distances of up to 12m can be achieved with the retro reflex model when using the R2 reflector, however by using the R7 reflector a resolution of 1mm can be achieved at 1m distance whilst still allowing an impressive sensing distance of 7m.
Edge control is just one of many applications that is ideal for this sensor.
The greatest sensing distances are obtained using the through beam option with an impressive 50m.
The resolution is also quite impressive at just 2.5mm at a distance of 5m and only 10mm at distances over 20m.
The output mode is light operate on the proximity version and dark operate on both the retro reflex and through beam options.
The sensors have a trimmer for sensitivity adjustment and are also equipped with two LED's.
The yellow LED shows output status whilst the green LED gives an indication of switching stability.
Connection is via the standard micro change style M12 connector.
Supply voltage for the range is 10 - 30V DC reverse polarity protected and the output is PNP open collector.
The operating temperature range is -10 to +50°C, and switching frequency is a very acceptable 1.5kHz.
The addition of the SL5 series of laser emission sensors to Datasensor certainly confirms their position as leaders of the field in Europe for the supply of competitive M18 tubular body sensors.
