Three different versions of SM are available, each of which is designed to fulfil different functions.
SM1 models are 20mm fixed-focus proximity units that, thanks to the thin housing with lateral optics, represent a valid alternative to fibre-optic systems, without the need of additional amplifiers.
SM2, a sensor with postage stamp dimensions with a thickness of less than 5mm, offers both 30mm fixed-focus proximity as well as through-beam optics reaching 1.2m.
SM3 models also present a miniature housing with lateral optics and feature a 50cm coaxial polarised retroreflex optic or a 1.2m through-beam optic function.
To facilitate easy setup, all the SM series have visible red emission and do not require adjustment.
There are two signalling LEDs provided on the sensor, a green LED that signals power on and a yellow LED that indicates stability and output condition.
