Safeasy SE4T-L light guards are intended for use as an ESPE to safeguard automatic palletisers and depalletisers.

Datasensor has released its all-new Safeasy SE4T-L light guards, meeting the requirements of IEC61496-1 and IEC61496-2 standards, which comply with Type 4 safety devices as defined by EN954-1, and are intended for use as an ESPE to safeguard automatic palletisers and depalletisers Designed for ease of installation and use, both the T and L models contain pre-assembled, precabled and pre-aligned adjustable position muting sensors

The T models feature bidirectional muting for use on entry (and entry/exit) points to the palletisers, the L models for use at the exit from the palletiser.

For applications where the integrated sensors may not be required, linear versions which accept separate muting sensors are also available.

Models with two beams are 500mm high, three-beam models are 800mm high.

The operating distance for the T and L versions is up to 2.5m and up to 20m for linear versions.

DIP-switches, reached through a lidded slot in the front of the receiver, permit the configuration of manual or automatic reset, the number of muting sensors, 10 minute or infinite muting time-out as well as the EDM function.

The compact emitter and receiver units (35 x 40mm) are self contained and fitted with M12 connectors for ease of installation and removal.

The outputs are two PNP safety transistors that can be connected directly to safety PLCc or to various safety relays that have appropriate inputs for safety light curtains.
