Danfoss Drives announces their cost effective VLT2800 Series drives are now available as part of the flexible APU (Adaptable Packaged Unit) program The entire horsepower range (1/2 - 5 HP 230 VAC and 3/4 - 25 HP 460 VAC) is available in two unique configurations - a Fuse and/or Disconnect package, and a Bypass package

Both packages are UL and C-UL listed.

Both APU configurations include the VLT2800 Series drive installed in a NEMA 1 rated, all steel enclosure.

The keypad and display are accessible through an opening in the enclosure, so there is no need to open the enclosure to access either.

When provided, the disconnect switch interlocks with the APU enclosure for operator safety.

The Fuse and/or Disconnect package features a rotary disconnect switch that allows the input line to the drive to be disconnected, and/or fast-acting drive fuses designed to react quickly enough to protect the drive.

The Bypass package includes a two-contactor or three-contactor bypass used to electrically select whether the motor is driven by the drive, connected to the full-speed bypass, or disconnected from both.

Also included with the Bypass package are a door interlocked input disconnect switch or circuit breaker, fast-acting drive input fuses, Drive/Off/Bypass or Drive/Off/Bypass/Test switch with DRIVE and BYPASS pilot lights, and class 20 motor overload for motor protection when running in bypass.

Bypass options include 3% impedance input line reactor, automatic bypass, common run/stop, bypass undervoltage protection, and Hand/Off/Auto selector switch and manual speed potentiometer.
