Frost and Sullivan has presented Danfoss Drives with the 2006 Award for Product Innovation in the field of variable frequency drive technology.
The award recognises Danfoss' VLT AutomationDrive - its newest and most advanced variable frequency drive.
A single, flexible solution to a range of industrial applications requirements, the drive is designed to confer a combination of needed functionality and ease of use to the industrial user.
According to Rahul Nayar, Research Analyst for Frost and Sullivan: "Danfoss Drives has demonstrated excellence in its development of an effective variable frequency drive that, like all good products, keeps applications-level requirements clearly in sight in its design".
Award recipients are selected after an arduous process wherein the Frost and Sullivan analyst team tracks all new product launches, R and D spending, products in development, and new product features and modifications in a given industry sector.
All new product launches and new products in development in each company are compared and evaluated based on degree of innovation and customer satisfaction.
The VLT AutomationDrive can handle every specific motor control requirement with a single product platform.
This flexibility allows users to take advantage of motor control performance for any industrial process application while keeping costs down.
