Briefcase computer is rugged base for acquisition

A Dataquest Solutions product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 13, 2008

With performance comparable to many desktop PCs, the slimline Pro152 briefcase computer offers ample expansion for portable data acquisition.

The notebook PC is extensively used for mobile computing but has one particular disadvantage - the inability to enclose PCI or PCI Express cards.

With this in mind many people look to portable computer chassis.

However, these cases are often bulky and heavy, but for operators requiring space for just one or two cards there is an alternative.

DataQuest Solutions now offers the slim, lighter portable Pro152 "briefcase" computer, measuring just 415 x 289 x 162mm and weighting in at around 8kg.

With performance comparable to many desktop PCs its current specification (subject to further enhancement) includes the Intel Core CPU, 945GM chipset and up to 4Gbyte of DDR2 RAM.

A host of connectivity ports include USB2.0, FireWire, fast LAN, RS232 and video out, to help ensure that this computer has the flexibility to be used with a wide variety peripheral and communication situations.

Just fold up the neat keyboard over the 15in TFT screen and its quickly ready for transport.

SATA hard disk drive options include two externally accessible units making this an ideal travelling data storage device too.

The Pro152 comes complete with quality carry case, wheeled trolley bag and 2-year manufacturer warranty.
