Ridout Associates, specialists in the preservation of Britain's oldest buildings, chooses Datataker DT50 data loggers for monitoring of old buildings.
Ridout Associates is a specialist in the preservation of Britain's oldest buildings, most of which include timber in their construction or are timber-framed.
Excessive moisture can cause serious damage and Ridout look for new technologies in their work to enable them to protect British heritage.
The precarious safety of these buildings has been highlighted recently with the onset of severe flooding and the unique requirements of this type of renovation.
They needed an efficient method of monitoring moisture levels, plus full backup and technical support.
Ridout Associates chose Datataker's model DT50, which was then housed in a custom made heavy duty enclosure to suit all their moisture monitoring needs.
Data can be downloaded via a modem for swift interrogation, and analysis of data.
Alarms are also fitted to trigger when any results fall outside preset levels.
The Datataker DT50, features easy programming, with 5 to10 analogue channels depending on sensors.
Digital channels, 5 input/output/low speed counters, 3 high speed counters, PC card for additional memory.
Datatakers can log and monitor data to benefit all types of businesses, large or small, who require information to run efficiently.
Each logger can be configured to suit the application and Datataker's engineers are available to advise on total system requirements.
