Backlash-free couplings tolerate
misalignment
Careful selection of materials provides the couplings with a minimal "restoring" force, which reduces the power absorbed by the coupling.
Davall Stock Gears has released a range of miniature, flexible and backlash-free shaft couplings These new couplings are particularly suited for low-power, high-speed applications such as optical encoders and tacho generators
The range is comprised of seven different styles of coupling: electron beam welded stainless steel bellows; one-piece helical; stainless steel disc; two-piece tooth face; slit beam; wound spring; and spider couplings.
These couplings are maintenance-free, with excellent resistance to oils and chemicals.
These couplings can operate in temperatures as high as 150C and will accommodate angular, radial and axial shaft misalignment.
Careful selection of materials provides the couplings with a minimal "restoring" force, which reduces the power absorbed by the coupling.
