3Dconnexion users in Northern Europe can now upgrade their existing motion controller to a top-of-the-range SpacePilot at a significantly discounted price.

3Dconnexion users in Northern Europe can now upgrade their existing motion controller to a top-of-the-range SpacePilot at a significantly discounted price.

This upgrade programme represents a new, ongoing service initiative whereby existing customers can save GBP 100 off the list price of a SpacePilot, 3Dconnexion's first intelligent motion controller.

This offer is available immediately.

Users of any of 3Dconnexion's range of controllers including all versions of the SpaceBall, the SpaceMouse, the Cadman and the SpaceTraveler can upgrade to a SpacePilot for just GBP 219.

"Anyone who uses a 3Dconnexion motion controller knows how indispensable it is in making your design work easier and faster".

"Over the years we have striven to improve the usability and functionality of our controllers to give an even more satisfying and productive experience, culminating in our latest award-winning device, the SpacePilot", comments Andy Parnell-Hopkinson, 3Dconnexion Sales Director for Northern Europe.

"This new upgrade initiative is a means by which our customers can improve their experience as we improve our products".

"It is designed to recognise the investment our customers have made in our controllers and allow them to take advantage of next generation technology at a lower cost".

Created to dramatically boost productivity, the SpacePilot couples next generation 3D motion control with an array of function keys powered by breakthrough adaptive technology.

Users can get to work immediately using any of 120 supported applications and there is no need to program individual function keys because SpacePilot automatically senses the current application and updates all preprogrammed functions, facilitating rapid, single-key access to frequent commands.

The controller incorporates a built-in LCD that allows users to easily view dynamically labelled and extendable key assignments, providing an almost unlimited number of functions based on the user's current task.

As users change applications or change tasks within their application, moving from sketching to part modelling to assembly modelling, for instance, the LCD presents them with updated functions relevant to the activity at hand.

SpacePilot's function keys are clearly captioned with bright LCD labelling that is updated dynamically, sensing the current application and function.

These keys can be organised into multiple banks - the ability to switch banks gives you access to an unlimited number of customisable keys.

Other keys are labelled for common functions across professional 3D applications such as keyboard modifiers (Ctrl, Shift, Alt, Esc), standard orthographic views and the fit-to-screen function.

Users will no longer have to move their hand to hit escape or control resulting in significant time-savings.
