SpacePilot is an intelligent navigation and input device for 3D computing.
The device improves the way CAD professionals work within Pro/Engineer's 3D environments and modes, including Assembly, Part and others.
As the user transitions between modes the SpacePilot automatically updates its function buttons with available Pro/Engineer commands, which are displayed on the LCD screen.
SpacePilot is fully customisable and any Pro/Engineer MapKeys can be assigned to its programmable buttons.
Unlike those who work with just a mouse and keyboard, design engineers using a SpacePilot can pan, zoom and rotate their 3D models while simultaneously editing and annotating with the mouse.
The advanced sensing and adapting mechanisms, combined with other SpacePilot functions, such as the "quick view" commands top, right, left, front and iso (executed at the touch of a button), enhance workflow and make interaction with Pro/Engineer software faster, easier and more comfortable.

The new SpacePilot capabilities are available for Pro/Engineer Wildfire version 2.0 and higher.
