3Dconnexion has announced that its line of 3D navigation devices is now compatible with Autodesk DWF Viewer and Autodesk Design Review software.

The support is offered through Autodesk DWF Viewer and Design Review Service Packs and is available for immediate download from the Autodesk website.

Using the 3Dconnexion navigation devices Autodesk users can better understand, communicate and interact with their 3D design information.

Autodesk Design Review allows users to review, mark up and revise 2D and 3D designs without need of the original design creation software.

"3Dconnexion navigation devices make our customers' interaction with 3D design more intuitive, productive and enjoyable", says Kevin Wandryk, Senior Director of Marketing, Autodesk Collaboration Solutions.

"Now not only can a designer and his project team share 3D data but they can do so with a single, consistent and intuitive 3D user interface".

According to Autodesk, as of June 2006 approximately 11 million copies of the DWF Viewer software have been downloaded.

3Dconnexion's devices offer intuitive and comfortable 3D navigation capabilities to millions of 3D designers and nondesigners who use DWF Viewer content.

3Dconnexion navigation devices enable users to simultaneously pan, zoom and rotate 3D objects without repeatedly stopping to change directions or use the keyboard and mouse.

"I am delighted to provide support to the extended Autodesk community with DWF Viewer and Design Review", adds 3Dconnexion president Rory Dooley.

"The natural and intuitive navigation our devices provide enhances the viewing, and as a result the comprehension, of the DWF content".

3Dconnexion's award-winning line of products includes the new SpaceNavigator (suggested retail price of GBP 69 for the commercial licence) and SpaceExplorer (suggested retail price of GBP 199).

3Dconnexion navigation device support is available immediately with the download of the Autodesk DWF Viewer and with the Autodesk Design Review 2007 Service Pack - both available from the Autodesk website.

3Dconnexion driver software is available for download from the 3Dconnexion website.
