3Dconnexion's full line of 3D mice, including the Spacepilot Pro 3D mouse, is now supported by Missler's Topsolid integrated CAD/CAM software solution.
The company said its 3D mice enhance the Topsolid workflow, giving engineers working with large assemblies a more intuitive way to interact with their 3D designs for modelling, simulation and production.
3Dconnexion's 3D mice give Topsolid professionals a range of design performance and productivity benefits, the company said.
Unlike traditional mice confined to motion on one flat plane, 3Dconnexion 3D mice enable Topsolid professionals to move in all three dimensions simultaneously, using six-degrees-of-freedom sensor technology.
By gently lifting, pressing and turning the controller cap, design engineers can pan, zoom and rotate their models and simulations without stopping to select commands.
Using a 3D mouse together with a traditional mouse engages both hands for a balanced and co-operative work style.
3Dconnexion 3D mice enable quick access to the most commonly used commands in Topsolid, allowing users to easily customise programmable buttons to suit their personal workflow needs.
With less time spent toggling views and commands, Topsolid professionals are left with more time for the creative elements of a design, increasing the accuracy of the end product and overall time-to-market.
In addition to improving the design experience, 3Dconnexion 3D mice also help improve the quality of designs by aiding in the detection of design flaws, allowing Topsolid users to instantly view a design from varying angles for enhanced design review, verification and presentation.
Missler's Topsolid is compatible with the entire 3Dconnexion 3D mouse product line, including the Professional Series with the Spacepilot Pro; Spacepilot; and Spaceexplorer; and the Standard Series with the Spacenavigator and Spacenavigator for Notebooks.
