From Delta Controls is the Model 46 RTD hygienic resistance thermometer for in-line operation in food, beverage, pharmaceuticals processing and other applications where it is vital to prevent contamination of the product.

It houses a removable, spring-loaded insert assembly within a 6.35mm diameter sheath.

This lets the sensor be taken out easily for routine calibration without having to drain the process line.

Standard surface finish of the stainless-steel wetted parts is 0.8u but 0.2u is available as an option.

There is a choice of enclosures, screwed or hinged in aluminium, plastic or 316 stainless steel and all weatherproof.

The range includes a choice of probe lengths, transmitters (analogue, programmable and Hart) and process connections to match requirements, including a quick-release hygienic clamp fitting that locates the themometer on the flange in accordance with ISO 2852.

Certified to Part 100 Class A in accordance with BSEN60751 and available on short delivery, standard models have an operating range of -50 to +230C at maximum working pressures on 316 grade stainless-steel wetted parts up to 30bar.
