Digital Inspection Systems plans an energetic start to the new year with a series of events to educate and promote Scorpion Vision software at various locations around the country.

The programme starts on 11th January with a free to attend industrial vision workshop hosted by VUtech at Salford University.

The team then heads south for a busy February during which the company will be exhibiting at the Southern Manufacturing 2006 show at Thorpe Park.

Digital will be demonstrating the Sony Scorpion desktop robot, a small footprint machine that is capable of very fast visual inspections of small components.

Next stop will be Sony Business' headquarters in Basingstoke on 15th February where another free to attend half day workshop will be hosted.

This workshop is intended to be a taster for the following week's two day Scorpion Vision basic training course which will be run at Digital's head office in Southampton on 21st and 22nd February.

Digital will be running a Scorpion Vision two-day advanced course on 14th and 15th March for those companies that would like to exploit the advanced scripting capabilities in Scorpion Vision software.

Attendees will see how an advanced multi-camera inspection system can be built in less than a day.

Finally, the programme will be rounded off with another free vision workshop on 16th March, at a venue yet to be confirmed.

These events are for process engineers, manufacturers and machine vision companies who would like to find out more about Scorpion Vision.
