Software links with CMMs for accurate
inspection

Delcam has joined forces with inspection specialist Europac to provide manufacturing companies with a low-cost retrofit solution that will cut their inspection costs and improve their quality.

CADCAM developer Delcam has joined forces with inspection specialist Europac to provide manufacturing companies with a low-cost retrofit solution that will cut their inspection costs and improve their quality Upgrading any CMM with Delcam's PowerInspect CNC software and Europac's EPC010 40bit, high-speed controller gives a quick and easy method for the automated comparison of tooling or sample components with CAD data

This type of inspection is becoming more important throughout the manufacturing cycle as most design data are now issued as CAD models rather than as drawings.

Inspection reports can be produced automatically, including pictorial, graphical and tabulated data, either to recognised international standards or in a customer-specified format.

By giving real time results in an easy to understand format, problems can be identified earlier and corrected at lower cost.

As well as enabling inspection of samples or tooling to be carried out against all mainstream CAD formats, including IGES, Catia and Pro/Engineer, and STL files, the upgrade will give improved speed, accuracy and ease of use at an affordable price.

The upgrade also gives comprehensive error mapping capabilities, while the Europac controller incorporates integrated EP tuning software for optimum CMM performance. Request a free brochure from Delcam ...
