Delcam Upgrades STL File Repair Software
Delcam has released a much easier to use version of its STL file repair software, Trifix.
The software includes customisation with templates, macros and Visual Basic programming, or comes as a series of best-in-class stand-alone products.
Delcam can provide a design through manufacture system for companies that are new to CADCAM or that are looking to replace old or obsolete software.
Alternatively, the firm can supply individual programs for companies looking to increase the performance of their existing system or to remove bottlenecks in their design and manufacturing processes.
At Industrie, Delcam will give particular attention to its total modelling approach to product design and to its Powermill CAM system.
Total modelling allows logos, textures and other decorations to be incorporated into standard designs more readily to help reinforce branding of products.
Modification of complex designs is faster and easier, making it possible to create a larger selection of alternatives when presenting proposals for new designs.
Similarly, updating existing designs, for example, when producing a modified toy for a new marketing promotion, can be undertaken more quickly.
Powermill provides various machining strategies, especially for high-speed and five-axis machining, editing to optimise productivity, gouge detection and collision avoidance, and fast calculation times, plus the ability to simulate all toolpaths on the computer and so avoid problems on the machine tool.
