CADCAM software sales hit record levels
Delcam has achieved its best ever half-year sales in the first six months of 2006.

Pre-tax interim profit was GBP 1.2 million (US $2.3 million); an increase of 11% over that achieved in the first half of 2005.
The increase in both sales and profits came partly from the addition of the FeatureCAM family of software to the Delcam range and partly through increased sales of Delcam's established Power Solution range of software.
Delcam reinforced its commitment to its customers with a further increase in spending on research and development.
Expenditure grew from GBP 3.1 million (US $5.8 million) in the first half of 2005 to GBP 3.7 million (US $7.0 million) in the opening six months of 2006.
"We have released new versions of all of our main software programs, with many new features to increase our customers' productivity", claimed Delcam's Managing Director, Hugh Humphreys.
"These releases have been well received by our customers, with record numbers taking out maintenance contracts".
The most successful product, in growth terms, was the inspection program PowerInspect.
This saw an increase in sales of more than 80% compared with the first six months of 2005.
Increases have also been seen for Delcam's four other key products, the design software PowerShape, the PowerMill and FeatureCAM CAM systems, and the artistic CADCAM program ArtCAM. Request free introductory details about products from Delcam ...
