Delta Tau has addressed the need for an inexpensive and simple 2-axis motion control card that gives the performance expected of the company's global standard motion controllers by launching its Mini-PMAC2.

There is a growing demand for small and simple motion control thanks to an increase in the use of servo motors and closed loop AC induction motors in machines that previously could not justify using the technology.

High speed conveying, simple pick and place and other applications are typical.

Mini-PMAC2 is a 2/3 slot ISA bus expansion card with identical firmware to Delta Tau's other ISA PMAC2 controllers.

The board incorporates the Universal CPU section of the larger PMAC2 controllers, and connects directly to any direct PWM (pulse width modulation) amplifier or powerbock.

The PWM outputs are used directly to give digital output.

With various accessories available from Delta Tau it is also possible to incorporate an analogue output for applications requiring mixed stepping motor and servo control.
