Camacre is a brand new concept in cam generation software for applications using Delta Tau's PMAC motion controllers.

Camacre is a brand new concept in cam generation software for applications using Delta Tau's PMAC motion controllers Using a unique mix of graphical and numeric windows, the cam profile is first manually designed using criteria such as displacement, velocity, acceleration and jerk

At this stage, if the programmer inadvertently tries to perform an impossible move, Camacre's display windows change in real time to alert the programmer to the potential problem.

Having produced the desired cam profile the program is imported into Delta Tau's Motion Generator program that automatically produces the PMAC motion program.

The combination of the Camacre and Motion Generator software reduces the development of a working cam program from days to minutes.

Using high order polynomials to produce smooth cam segments, together with it's unique ability of knowing automatically when to apply classical cam segmentation, are just two of the reasons why Camacre is a perfect choice for generating cams.

Skilled operators can also make free form designs using the advantages of polynomial algorithms without constraining them to classical types.

The Motion Generator software not only enables the programmer to specify details like the servo axis to use, coordinate system, resolution, master axis to follow, whether cyclic or non-cyclic and so forth, but automatically generates the program either in tabular or "while loop" format.

Programmable limit switches can easily be implemented with a choice of fast medium or slow.

The programmer defines where on the cam an output is to be turned on or off and which axes it relates to, after which the Programmable Limit Switch Program then creates a program in PLC0 or a compiled PLCC0 which can then be download to PMAC at the push of a button.

Delta Tau's PMAC (programmable motion and control) solutions are regarded as setting the de facto global standard in the motion control field.

The company's continuing innovations, as evidenced by the new Camacre and Motion Generator software suite, has enabled the PMAC range of motion controllers to satisfy the broadest range of industrial applications.
