Densitron unveils negative mode LCDs

A Densitron Display Solutions product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Oct 7, 2008

Densitron has introduced the TSR5413 (and LMR5413) series of negative mode LCDs with RGB LED backlights and touchscreens.

Measuring 85mm x 55mm with a 2.9in diaganol active area, they offer a brilliant display and touch capability in tight form factor applications, said Densitron.

They are an option for mid-market customers and are suitable for handheld instruments, rack-mount equipment, audio, instrumentation, medical equipment and industrial indoor meters.

They are available in the following single colours with and without a touchscreen: jade green, arctic white, warm amber, midnight blue, tangerine orange, ocean blue and sunburst yellow.

These LCDs use cell gap control to accommodate the high graphic content of a 240mm x 128mm display packed into a module that is only 55mm tall.

The photos demonstrate virtually no cross-talk common to most standard FSTN displays, which appear washed-out due to their dark grey background and dim backlight.

The Densitron TSR5413 (and LMR5413) series offer high contrast due to their combination of dark black (or dark blue) background and ultra-bright LED design.
