The P210 is the smallest, lightest, most economical card printer of its class, designed for single sided edge to edge printing and capable of producing rich, vibrant colours with 300dpi resolution

DED Limited, as Eltron's elite partner, is previewing the Eltron P210 full colour plastic card printer at the Retail Solutions exhibition on Stand C2 Membership, loyalty and photo ID cards can now be printed more economically than ever before

With its official launch scheduled for October 2001, the P210 is the smallest, lightest, most economical card printer of its class, designed for single sided edge to edge printing and capable of producing rich, vibrant colours with 300dpi resolution for well-defined bar codes, photos, graphics and text.

Set to be the "must have" printer for not only the large multiple stores, but also health clubs, video shops, and the smaller chains of shops amongst others, the P210 brings a revolutionary new technology to the card printing market with its unique Openaccess clamshell design and numerous other features.

Unlike traditional card printers, which usually need access from all sides, the P210 provides both front card loading and output, making it ideal for desktop applications and where space is at a premium.

This is combined with a quick load ribbon cartridge for fast ribbon replacement, and an easy to change cleaning cartridge that enables dust to be thoroughly removed before cards are printed.

The P210 is capable of ultra-quiet printing at a speed of 40 seconds per card.

With its small footprint of just 170mm x 240mm x 125mm and weight of just 2.9kg, it has a card feeder capacity of 50 cards and an output hopper capacity of 20 cards.

It may be used for adding personalisation to pre-printed cards in the form of text, bar-codes etc, or can print on blank cards in full colour or mono black.

The printer features 2MB of standard memory and 1MB Flash memory, with a 3 -state LED and incorporated Multi Function Button included in addition to Windows drivers for 95/98, 2000, 2000ME and NT.

Both USB and parallel or USB and serial interface options are included to allow for easy integration into any system.

Further additional options include a magnetic stripe encoder for card applications which require encoded information.

Designed and manufactured to Eltron's ISO9001 standards, the printer is also approved to FCC Class A, CE, UL and CUL.
