The Argusscan high performance, omni-directional laser bar code scanner offers an extremely high first pass read accuracy, allowing for maximum productivity

DED has recently added the Argusscan high performance, omni-directional laser bar code scanner to its product range This new scanner offers an extremely high first pass read accuracy, allowing for maximum productivity

The fully automatic scanner is the ideal choice for retail, convenience, off licence, grocery and speciality shops.

Designed with a large high speed scan area, and a visible 650nm laser, its modular mounting offers four different stand configurations, making it adaptable to many applications.

The Argusscan may be mounted either horizontally or vertically and with the addition of a flexible post can be raised an additional 76mm away from the counter surface.

In combination with the programmable depth of field from 0 - 215mm, the product is customisable to the requirements of any scanning environment.

Another important feature to note is its compatibility with the majority of cash registers straight from the box - due to the multiple interfaces incorporated as standard.

The auxiliary RS232 port enables inputs from peripheral devices such as cheque and magnetic stripe readers or bar code scanners.

A hand held scanner can simply be plugged into the auxiliary port for the scanning of bulky or heavy items.

The device is provided with user-replaceable cables, and is easily set up and configured.

Compatible with OPOS systems and provided with a two year guarantee, DED also provides value added support, with sales engineers on hand to offer advice and technical expertise 5 days a week.
