Deva has extended its range of PC based motion control and measurement products with the launch of its PCI based absolute SSI encoder interface.

Deva has extended its range of PC based motion control and measurement products with the launch of its PCI based absolute SSI encoder interface Absolute SSI encoders provide position measurement without the need for referencing and hence offer a key advantage over incremental encoders

Increase in demand for these encoders has meant that most major encoder manufacturers now offer SSI encoders and the Deva 001 PCI interface allows these to be used in conjunction with any PCI based PC computer.

Plug and Play software support for Windows 98, 2000 and ME enables simple installation and automatic configuration of up to 6 interfaces supporting a total of 18 encoders.

The interface is compatible with all industry standard SSI encoders up to 32 bits and allows a maximum clock rate of up to 2.5Mhz.

A comprehensive software support package includes libraries and examples for modern rapid application development tools such as Visual Basic, Visual 'C' and LabVIEW.

Deva's common driver interface enables users to migrate their applications across MS DOS, Windows 98/2000/ME and NT platforms easily and conveniently.
