Deva Electronic Controls has released an enhanced PCI version of its CMM motion controller.

Deva Electronic Controls has released a new enhanced PCI version of its CMM motion controller Based on the proven technology of its current motion control product range, the new Deva 004 CMM motion controller features integrated digital I/O and comprehensive Renishaw probe support

Available in three- or four-axis variants, the Deva 004 is auto sensing single ended or differential and offers both Renishaw PICS B and PICS A connections.

The Deva 004 now boasts compatibility with all Renishaw PICS based probe systems.

Support for touch probes such as the TP2, TP6 and TP20 is still provided onboard allowing these devices to be used without further conditioning equipment.

The Deva 004 now incorporates 16 optoisolated digital inputs which allow the sensing of switches and sensors such as axis limits and emergency stop buttons around the system and 16 optoisolated outputs giving the ability to control other devices such as air pressure, axis locks and lubrication systems.

OEMs involved with software development will benefit from the comprehensive software support library compatible with Windows 98/2000/ME/XP, Microsoft Visual B and Visual C operating systems, and retrofitters will benefit from support for key third-party CMM software packages.

Future software development for the Deva 004 is supplied to Deva customers at no extra cost.
