Surge arrester handles larger loads
Two-pole modular surge arrester protects electronic equipment in industrial and commercial installations.
The new Dehnrail M from Dehn UK is a two-pole modular surge arrester for the protection of electronic equipment in industrial and commercial installations Using a simple modular construction combining a base unit with plug-in modules, the new unit meets the requirements of the EN61643-11 standard for Type 3 (Class III) surge-protection devices
The unit can handle a nominal discharge current (8/20us) of up to 5kA, and offers a very low level of let-through energy and voltage protection.
The nominal load current is also increased by 40% to 25A from the previously rated 16A.
This new unit incorporates a two-pole device in a single 18mm modular width.
The device is available with a floating changeover contact for remote signalling to control devices.
