New to the Autosport industry is the vibration resistant Power Connector from Deutsch.

New to the Autosport industry is the vibration resistant Power Connector from leading connectors manufacturer Deutsch The AS Power Connector has been designed in response to customer demand for a connector able to withstand the harshness of rally and touring car environments and handle high current in a compact design, with particular application for alternator and starter motors.

The compact design of the new AS Power Connector (90mm length x 17.5mm diameter) is achieved through the use of gold plated copper contacts inside the power connector, which allow for a maximum current of 150 Amps.

Other major features include; tough thermoplastic shell, ensuring full fluid resistance, cable accommodation for 16mm2 or 25mm2, positive lock bayonet contact system for extreme vibration resistance, and standard crimping technology, as used throughout the Deutsch Autosport range, for improved reliability.

Industrial Business Manager for Deutsch Industrial division, David Watters comments, "Part of our ongoing research and development programme is continually asking customers what they want from our products.

So when they said they needed a compact connector that could withstand the stresses and strains of the rallying and touring car environments, be quickly connected or disconnected and deliver power reliably, we gladly took on the project.

We designed it, made it and with the new AS Power Connector, I believe we have delivered." The AS Power Connector has already been successfully tested on mainland Europe and is now available in the UK.
