Colourful additions to LED lamp range

A DG Controls product story

A newly extended family of LED lamps will find wide applications, particularly where the illuminated device does not already have a coloured lens, or where colour depth and/or enhancement is needed.

At the 2002 Hanover Industry Fair DG Controls launched its all-new LEDX lamp modules to significant acclaim.

Designed to replace conventional filament lamps in beacons or other illuminated products, these very successful initial plug-in lamp modules incorporated white LED light source and clear polycarbonate lens, allowing conventional lamp replacement in existing and new products, irrespective of colour.

RS Components carries variety stocks of these units for ex-stock delivery.

Now, by popular demand, DG has added LED models in red, amber and green which allow applications in even wider markets, particularly where the illuminated device does not already have an existing coloured lens and/or housing, or where colour depth and/or enhancement is needed.

Only 25mm in diameter, these B15D cap LEDX lamp modules are available in 24V AC/DC, 115V AC and 230V AC.

With a life expectancy possibly in excess of 100kh, LEDX modules offer significant benefits over conventional lamps by greatly reduced maintenance.

As well as making filament lamps potentially obsolete in indicators as well as tower, stacking and other small beacon lamps, these devices give excellent colour integrity and high brightness with low current draw compared with equivalent signal lamps.
