German launch for electronic sounders

A DG Controls product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 21, 2004

DG Controls is launching an all-new IAS-E and T range of electronic sounders at the Hanover Fair.

DG Controls is launching an all-new IAS-E and T range of electronic sounders at the Hanover Fair.

The all-new polycarbonate moulded devices now being introduced, are either "stand-alone" sounders or "combine-and-clamp-to" units to create beacon-sounders.

With 32 tones selected by DIL switch, loudest tone sound pressure levels in excess of 110dB(A) are achieved.

Applications right across the fire, security and industrial sectors mean that low current consumption has been a high priority for this new sounder range.

To ensure this achievement, a compact re-entrant horn has been incorporated into the design.

Also, giving added flexibility of application, switching to a second stage tone is obtainable by a third-wire connection.

12V DC, 16-30V DC, 115V AC and 230V AC versions are standard, and all units are complete within a UV-stabilised IP65 polycarbonate housing.

The design allows choice of mounting.

By using the latest (patent pending) T Series housings introduced at the 2003 Hanover Fair, single or multiple sounders can be clamped together with a selection of beacon types.

By choosing the well-known DG E series housing, even domestic and office-style ceiling or wall fixing meets aesthetic image needs.
