Design Reality Limited, a design consultancy from North Wales, has been working with Scott Health and Safety on the 14-month assessment phase as the consulting design team throughout its involvement with the GSR project.
The respirator uses new technologies in the air filter and seal system developed by the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) under an MOD sponsored research programme that also involved Design Reality.
Rob Sutton, Projects Leader for Scott Health and Safety, said: "Design Reality have been creative, enthusiastic and dedicated throughout our project, seamlessly working with our team and proving to be a great investment." After the contract had been signed, Lord Bach, Minister for Defence Procurement said: "This new respirator is no mere gas mask.
