Respirator's unparalleled UK troop protection
UK troops are to benefit from what is claimed to be the most advanced and effective respirator in the world to protect them from chemical and biological warfare agents.
With all of the design team fully trained, and many members with years of experience, the SLA machine is in constant use.
To follow on from the SLA machine, Design Reality has purchased a MCP vacuum casting machine.
The company reckons that as a result it can takes its prototypes to the next level, producing parts with real material characteristics like flexibility, strength, colour and opacity, snap-fit and rubber-like parts.
As with everything, the company's team is fully trained and with its attention to detail and quality, the parts are of such a high standard they would rival even the most established bureaux.
Design Reality has also just purchased a CNC milling machine and a lathe, which it can use in conjunction with the vacuum casting machine when it requires more than what SLA can offer.
The company's suite of prototyping equipment now covers the most widely used prototyping techniques and is an asset to the business.
The company's design team uses the workshop on a daily basis to test out ideas and theories, so with this new advanced workshop the designers can go wild with the creativity and then validate the functionality all under one roof.
