Polygon profile mechanical power transmission systems outperform conventional drives, yet they can cost less.

Polygon profile mechanical power transmission systems outperform conventional drives, yet they can cost less.

The Inkoma polygon profile from Drive Lines, has a lobed four-sided form to combine positive drive and sliding, without stress raising keyways.

Specific contact loads are extremely low when compared with the line contact of splines and keys.

This ensures good sliding capability at all conditions of load.

Cold drawn shafts from 11 to 60mm profile section are stocked, together with matching steel or bronze components.

The shafts are stocked as drawn, but can be finished machined to drawing, heat treated and corrosion protected.

For specialised systems, profile ground shafts can be supplied in a variety of materials including stainless steels.

The comprehensive catalogue includes information to help calculate the required profile size.
