The DS1100 Laser Scanner from Datalogic features very compact dimensions, light weight and excellent scanning performance

Specifically designed for easy integration into OEM equipment, the DS1100 Laser Scanner from Datalogic features very compact dimensions, light weight and excellent scanning performance, and offers machine manufacturers the best cost-effective industrial solution.

In-depth discussions with our customers revealed the need for a powerful laser scanner which could be mounted anywhere and in a very small space, so the DS1100 was made very compact (80mm x 50mm x 22mm) and lightweight (less than 100g) and fitted with either a direct or 90° scanning window depending on the model chosen.

The DS1100 features an IP65 rugged industrial housing and is also available as an embedded module for specific applications.

The DS1100 covers a wide reading area, scans very close to the output window and provides optimised performance on high resolution codes.

The combination of a powerful RISC decoder with reliable decoding algorithms and impressive optical performance provides a scan speed of 350 scans/second, guaranteeing the highest read rate and accuracy, even on damaged or poorly printed bar codes.

DS1100 operating parameters are fully programmable and the scanner can be quickly configured through WINHOST, Datalogic's user-friendly set-up software.

Existing control systems, PCs or PLCs are simply integrated and connected via the two high-speed serial interfaces.

Multi-point scanning configurations are available using Master-Slave or Multiplexer connections.

The DS1100 is the ideal solution for applications involving chemical and blood analysers, pharmaceutical code verifiers, Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs), video-rental, and printing and film-processing machines.

The DS1100 can also be used for light materials handlng applications, such as assembly lines, document and library tracking, work-in-progress and quality control, as well as on small conveyors and picking systems.
